John,

The Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) is a lifeline for nearly one million Dreamers -- undocumented immigrants who were brought to the United States as children. Over the last 12 years, these Dreamers have planted their roots in the only home they know, and we rely on them every day. As our doctors, attorneys, teachers, neighbors, and friends, we need Dreamers just as much as they need us.

But the lives they have worked relentlessly to build for more than a decade could be jeopardized at any moment. Without permanent legislation from Congress, Dreamers have an undetermined fate. As part of our ongoing advocacy efforts, this month, the Forum brought together a group of business leaders, who are part of our Corporate Roundtable, and students and staff from four universities, to meet with House and Senate members to call on them to safeguard Dreamers. The meetings went well and gave me hope as to what is possible.

That’s why we’ve set a goal to raise $10,000 this end-of-quarter to continue our work pushing Congress for a legislative fix and mobilizing constituencies across the country. Would you consider making a gift to support our efforts on behalf of Dreamers?

Jesus Contreras: "I am not a rarity; I am not somebody that excelled above a bunch of other people. There are thousands and thousands of stories, like mine, of people who have done things like I have. There are people of all professions that are DACA recipients and have shown this country that they can do so much with so little. So if we give them more, we can maximize the potential of them and of this country."

Without Dreamers like Jesus, who works hard to save lives as a paramedic, the healthcare industry alone would lose $32 billion dollars.

Help us reach our fundraising goals by the end of the quarter to safeguard the future of Dreamers and all that they do for this country.

Thank you for all your support
