More than podiums and policies, last night’s debate underscored the importance of every voter making their voice heard in this election. But the voices of so many women of color, especially low-paid women, might be shut out … again!

We can’t let that happen, so our ambitious goal is to reach just over 1 million “low propensity” women of color voters — a group that *must* be heard at the ballot box.

“Low propensity” women of color voters are new voters or infrequent voters who are the backbone of the country and need their voices counted. These are our people.

Our staff and volunteers are overwhelmingly women of color; many are themselves new or infrequent voters, because we prioritize hiring domestic workers.

But here’s the deal: this is going to be a huge lift. We’ve got six focus states – AZ, GA, NV, NC, SC and VA – where women of color have historically been overlooked and underserved. Each state needs materials, teams of volunteers, and thousands of phone calls to reach these voters. But we can do it with your help.

John, our goal is to raise $10,000 from grassroots donors. Can you donate to help us hit this goal, and reach just over 1 million women of color voters in these states by November 5?

Miss Denise is a professional nanny and proud member and worker leader at NDWA’s We Dream in Black (WeDiB) chapter in New York. She’s summed up why this ambitious plan has come together:

I’ve been across the country knocking on doors and have seen firsthand how Black voices are at risk of being silenced at the ballot box. We need your support to ensure Black voices are heard and Black votes are counted.

* Organize women of color-led and worker-led civic organizing drives that incorporate direct support and mutual aid tactics.

* Engage care workers, caregivers, and domestic workers in non-partisan voter mobilization programs as leaders, staff, and volunteers.

* Lead activities to get out the vote and help women of color see themselves in our democracy.
