•  appointed a Supreme Court Justice with a record of decisions that limit women’s access to health care;
•  supported legislation that would ban all abortion after 20 weeks of pregnancy;
•  issued rules that would allow employers and universities to deny insurance coverage for birth control to employees and students;
•  reinstated the Global Gag Rule;
•  cut off funding for the UN Population Fund.

But fighting back against threats like these is why the Center for Reproductive Rights exists. Our expert lawyers are on the frontlines in the courts, in Congress, and in state legislatures defending access to reproductive health care and we’re counting on your support.

2. Take action. Sign our petition calling on Congress to pass the Women’s Health Protection Act and prohibit unnecessary restrictions on reproductive care.

Anti-choice state lawmakers have been emboldened by President Trump’s presidency and by their new ally on the Supreme Court. In 2017, 19 states passed 63 NEW restrictions on the right to abortion.

We’re challenging more than a dozen restrictions on reproductive rights in the courts right now—and with your help, we’ll be able to recruit more attorneys, researchers, and expert witnesses to win these cases and take on more.

We’re also working around the world, from El Salvador to Kenya and beyond, to advance reproductive freedom as a fundamental human right that all governments are legally obligated to protect, respect, and fulfill.

With the executive branch, both chambers of Congress and many state legislatures dominated by anti-choice politicians, the court system is our last, best line of defense against laws that infringe on our health and our rights.
