Hi John, it’s Sen. Pam Jochum. I wish I didn’t have to break such bad news to you so early in the morning, but: 

Iowa's Supreme Court just released their decision on the temporary injunction placed on the 6 week abortion ban that far-right lawmakers passed last  summer

The court decided to lift this injunction, which means the bill will go into effect.

It’s more clear than ever before, John: not only will far-right lawmakers stop at nothing to impose their backwards agenda on us against our will, far-right judges are more than happy to go along with them. We need to take back the Senate Majority, John. Will you help us do that with a donation of $50 or more today?

John, far-right lawmakers strong armed this bill through our state legislature despite knowing that the majority of Iowans don’t support it. 

Banning abortions after 6 weeks–a time at which most people aren’t even aware they are pregnant–is irresponsible, short sighted and demonstrates that our Republican-controlled legislature is detached from reality. 

Let’s call this bill what it is: another attempt to police our bodies. 

And shame on the far-right judges on IA’s Supreme Court for prioritizing their extreme agenda over real Iowan lives.
