Check out our Earth Day action center

When our country faces a crisis, we rise to the call. The worst of times brings out the best in us.

We have seen our sense of community thrive, as cities open up their widows to cheer and uplift healthcare workers changing shifts. Friends leave baked goods outside each other’s homes, a reminder that we care.

And when we asked you — our community — to help us ensure that as we move forward from this, we build a better, safer, cleaner future, you rose the call.

We asked for 50,000 messages to send to Congress on the 50th anniversary of Earth Day — and you blew past that goal in one week. So let’s double it — find out how close we are to 100,000 in our new Earth Day Action Center!

It’s everything you need to still be able to stand together with your EDF community this Earth Day — even as we stay 6 feet apart.

We’ve got:

50 years ago, America was in crisis — with rivers aflame, wildlife in danger, and a presidential administration that saw no value in environmental protection. But when we came together on Earth Day, Americans convinced Richard Nixon — who had, behind closed doors, called environmentalists “enemies” bent on “destroying the system” to sign 14 major pieces of environmental legislation and create the Environmental Protection Agency.

This year, we’ve lost a lot — but in 50 years, EDF has never missed an Earth Day. We’re not about to start now. And we still want to spend it with you.

Join us — add your name to the map, and become a part of our Earth Day community as we call on Congress to build a better future for 100% of us.

Thank you for standing with us,
