There's only one candidate in this race who gets it

Friend—

Tonight's presidential debate made one thing clear: Donald Trump does not want to talk about climate change. His response to the sole climate question was a crash course in his real-life approach to the climate crisis: First, he ignored it entirely to talk about something else, and when that stopped working, he started lying.

There's only one candidate in this race who understands that the climate crisis cannot be ignored.

Joe Biden has done more than any other president in American history to deliver the progress we desperately need on climate. "Drill, baby, drill"-Trump, on the other hand, has made it a top priority to dismantle that progress and destroy clean energy investments.

The stakes of this election could not be higher. Simply put, Trump's plan means more climate disaster, setting back U.S. climate progress at the worst possible time.

Whether it’s an election season or not, Evergreen works hard every day to make sure that a thriving and just clean energy future remains at the top of America's agenda. We helped ensure climate was prioritized in Biden's administration, and we’re committed to doing it again in the next term.

But with climate-denying criminals like Trump spreading lies at every turn, we'll need more resources if we're going to succeed at making climate a centerpiece of this election and way beyond. Can you help?

POWER OUR WORK

We have a basic responsibility to leave a better world for our children and grandchildren, especially as Americans across the country are witnessing in real-time the dangers of unprecedented heat. President Biden has taken huge strides to do so, but Trump puts his own personal interests over future generations and refuses to take action on climate change or air pollution.

Take this, for example: Trump has now asked for $1 billion from Big Oil to support his campaign and promised them more tax cuts and to cut environmental protections they dislike.

We need all hands on deck from now until November to make sure we don't leave our future in the hands of someone who denies this crisis is real and wants to destroy our hard-won gains.

Can we count on your support to keep climate front and center?

Thanks for all you do,
