Joking aside, after the FEC quarterly deadline, we’ll have to open our campaign books and ourselves up to the possibility of falling short of our $10,000 fundraising goal. Last month, we exceeded our goal thanks to supporters like you. But now, we’re falling behind.

If we report weak fundraising, we risk the possibility of folks dismissing this campaign. Polling shows that once voters hear our message, the race between Callie and Rep. Bergman becomes a statistical tie. Voters are tired of his focus on culture wars instead of addressing the real issues that affect us all.

Raising money is a critique and reality of our political system. And for candidates who don’t come from wealth, it can be harder to raise money because we aren’t relying on million-dollar corporations.
