Hey, John!

It’s been 100 days since I started at When We All Vote, and — WOW! — we’ve accomplished so much together.

There is so much to share that we’re launching a new series, “What’s Happening with When We All Vote,” where I’ll pop in every month to recap the highlights over the past couple of weeks, check in on what's coming up, and share what's on my mind lately as we continue our mission to get as many Americans registered and ready to vote as possible. Let's dive in!

We kicked off June with a bang. Just take a look:

🔊 When We All Vote launched our #CultureOfDemocracyTour [[link removed]] at the Roots Picnic in Philadelphia [[link removed]] and then headed to Nashville for the Blavity House Party Music Festival [[link removed]] to register voters. I had the chance to share more about the tour on MSNBC. Check it out here [[link removed]].

🔊 When We All Vote teamed up with the NBA [[link removed]] to ensure you and your #VotingSquad get in the game, register, and make a plan to vote ahead of the 2024 general election.

🔊 I was in Detroit, where I talked about our work with our state organizing partners — State Voices. Then, I headed to Miami for the American Black Film Festival to speak with our talent supporters on the importance of bringing voting directly to the culture. On Juneteenth, I also teamed up with the Executive Leadership Council to discuss how economic and political freedom go hand in hand [[link removed]].

🔊 Our volunteers celebrated Juneteenth [[link removed]] and Pride Month [[link removed]] by registering people in their communities to vote by hosting over 80 voter registration drives.

🔊 You asked, and we delivered! We debuted our “Voting is Black Culture” and “Vote Loud & Proud” voting swag. Shop the collection here [[link removed]]. We love seeing you rock our When We All Vote swag; tag us @WhenWeAllVote [[link removed]].

WOW, right? Our goals are mighty, but our When We All Vote team is mightier. As we keep this momentum going, let’s take a look at what’s coming down the pipeline:

🌟 New Orleans, here we come! When We All Vote is bringing voting to the 2024 ESSENCE Festival of Culture. Through this partnership, we’re excited to register thousands of voters and bring together 10,000 volunteers as Essence #VotingSquad members.

🌟 We’re taking the Culture of Democracy Tour to the BET Awards this weekend and Arizona in July. Stay tuned!

John, since this is my first “What’s Happening with When We All Vote,” many of you are still getting to know me. So, I want to return to my first day and leave you with this:

The 2024 election cycle is already underway, and this will be our biggest year yet. Empowering Black and Brown voices, increasing access to the ballot box, and championing voting rights are passions my team and I here at When We All Vote carry with us daily. We are pumped to continue taking strides towards a future filled with empowerment, inclusivity, and all things voting — because When We All Vote, we can shape a better future for us all.

Keep mobilizing! I’m proud to be working alongside each of you.
