Hi John, This was not my first year at the Midwest Renewable Energy Association's Annual Energy Fair, but it may have been my favorite.
I presented to a tent full of fairgoers on how to save money while protecting the environment – and got really positive feedback. I talked with activists and clean energy pioneers from across Wisconsin and beyond about our work. Above all, I’ve been celebrating our big win for the climate and clean energy in Stevens Point. Just last week, the Stevens Point Common Council unanimously voted to commit the city to 100 percent clean energy and carbon neutrality by 2050!
This is an exciting time for us to make progress on climate solutions, and I’m glad you’re in this fight with me.

Join us for our Conservation Scorecard parties in July! |
We just launched our 2023-24 Conservation Scorecard, which scores legislators based on how they voted in the last legislative session. You can see the scorecard here.
In July, we’ll be celebrating our conservation champions – the legislators who scored a perfect 100 percent by voting for clean energy, clean water, and a healthy democracy. Join us in Milwaukee on July 9 or Madison on July 17 for an evening filled with food and good conversation with legislators and fellow conservation voters. Urban, rural, and in-between – people across Wisconsin are concerned about clean water, the climate, and protecting voting rights. We appreciate everyone who took a pause from the great food, music, and atmosphere to talk about what it means to be a conservation voter! |

Your voice matters! Sign up to join one of our community listening sessions near you. Our team will be compiling a list of priorities for the governor to include in the state budget. But we can’t do this without hearing the concerns and the priorities of Wisconsinites. We want to hear from you!

Wisconsin Conservation Voters partnered with Wisconsin Native Vote to host two successful listening sessions in June. Urban Organizer Anne Egan-Waukau hosted an engaging community discussion in Milwaukee at the Indian Council of the Elderly. Similarly, we heard from the community at the Menominee Casino Resort on the Menominee Reservation about a range of issues they care about. Tribal Organizer Mike Fish Jr. brought the community together for dinner and moccasin games.

This is one of the most important elections in more than a decade with new, fairer voting maps. This first round of endorsements includes candidates who are conservation champions and leaders in their communities. They share our values as conservation voters: clean water, clean air, accessible public lands, an equitable, safe democracy, and the pursuit of clean energy.

We Are Green Bay: Our team worked with community members, labor unions, and local leaders to add more early voting locations in the city of Green Bay.
Up North News: We are knocking doors across the state making people aware of the benefits available from Pres. Biden’s Affordable Clean Energy Plan – and helping people be part of the climate solution.
Wisconsin Public Radio: Our door-to-door canvass is growing and we recently launched the canvass in Green Bay. -
Stevens Point Journal: The Stevens Point Common Council unanimously voted to commit the city to 100 percent clean energy and carbon neutrality by 2050. Our organizer Maxwell and local common council members were quoted talking about this big step for the city.
