Do you remember the first presidential debate in 2020?

It was like nothing I had ever seen before.

Donald Trump was wild, aggressive, and unhinged. And Joe Biden said what the whole world was thinking:

"Will you shut up, man?!"

I don't know if tonight's debate will be quite as memorable, but what I do know is that we will see two very different visions for the future of rural America. One where rural Americans are left behind, and another where we continue to prioritize the needs of rural communities.

During his first administration, Donald Trump repeatedly placed himself and his MAGA agenda above everyone and everything — including investment in rural America. A second term will not be any better.

Pay attention as he blabbers on tonight, because here is what he won't mention: the maternal health crisis caused by far-right abortion bans in many rural states, the millions of rural Americans without affordable internet because MAGA extremists refuse to fund the Affordable Connectivity Program, or the hunger crisis he will cause when he ends free summer lunch programs for kids.

He will be too concerned with spewing lies about an election he lost, undermining the judicial system, and pandering to his most extreme supporters.
