In just a few hours (and right down the road from us) the first presidential debate of 2024 is going to be underway, and the Atlanta voters watching could decide the outcome of the election.

Just under 12,000 votes separated Joe Biden and Donald Trump last cycle, and those same voters helped elect Democrats up and down the ballot — including Hank and other progressives in our district.

Joe Biden couldn't have won in 2020 without us, and we're going to have to do everything in our power to reject extremism and protect our democracy again this year.

We have to work together to grow our Democratic coalition in Georgia, and the earlier the better — just in time for Hank's next FEC Reporting Deadline, which is Sunday. We still need to raise $11,931 more online to reach our End of Quarter Fundraising Goal. Meeting this goal is critical to mobilizing Atlanta Democrats and spreading the word about how important the entire Democratic ticket is to creating a government that works for all of us. If you don't have time to watch tonight's debate, here's what you need to know:

When Trump was in office, he packed the court with partisan justices who are refusing accountability, undermining the integrity of the Court, and endangering democracy for millions of Americans.

Meanwhile, President Biden has been a people-first champion, protecting reproductive rights, addressing climate change, implementing gun safety laws, and expanding access to public education, health care, and affordable housing—all while appointing Supreme Court justices who are working to protect our rights.

Biden has been a beacon of progress for Hank's mission and that's exactly why we have to turn out voters in Georgia's Fourth Congressional District for progressive candidates up and down the ballot.

John, Hank is in Congress for the long haul—to hold our Supreme Court justices accountable, put people over politics, and make sure we elect and appoint folks that will protect our institutions—but with someone like Trump in office, we'll lose a distinct opportunity to reform the system for the better. 

And in a battleground state like Georgia, we can't afford to wait until the last minute. Hank is going to need all the resources he can get to defend his seat and keep fighting for transparency and accountability. His next End of Quarter Federal Reporting Deadline is right around the corner, and we're still $11,391 away from reaching our goal.
