Friend –

It looks like Pennsylvania might pass a state budget on time, but we have zero assurances that it will include the environmental investments our communities need, and we need your help.

We’re pushing for investment in four key areas:
* Plugging abandoned wells to put a stop to a major source of air pollution
* Expanding the Whole Home Repairs program to help thousands more homeowners fix leaky roofs, replace exposed wiring, and safely remove peeling lead paint to make homes safer and more energy efficient
* Cleaning up thousands of miles of polluted streams and rivers
* Ensuring that environmental justice communities get their fair share of federal dollars that are dedicated for clean energy projects like solar, wind, low-impact hydropower, and geothermal

If we can get at least 10 messages into each legislator's office in the next 24 hours, it’s not too late to get our priorities included.

Please send your lawmakers a message today urging them to include critical environmental investments in the state budget: [link removed]

The time for state lawmakers to reach agreement is now. The deadline is June 30 – this Sunday.

In year’s past, state lawmakers have blown past this date, but we're hopeful that's not the case this year. That’s the good news – but we still need assurances that our priorities are going to be included.

Constituent pressure in every office is the best way to get our environmental spending priorities into the budget. No matter who represents you, your message is needed now.

Please urge your lawmakers to support funding for plugging abandoned wells, reducing water pollution, making homes more energy efficient, and finally making clean energy investments in communities of color: [link removed]

Thanks for all that you do.
