This week is London Climate Action Week, and thousands of attendees —
including Mike, Earthshot Prize Finalists, climate innovators, and others — are
in the city to share ideas and solutions for accelerating climate progress.
This week also marks the one-year anniversary ofBreathe Cities
<[link removed]>, which Mike and London Mayor Sadiq Khan launched
in 2023. The city continues to explore creative climate solutions, including
cutting pollution from buildings, which account for nearly three-quarters of
London's emissions. Our latest Building the Future video explores how Bloomberg
Associates, our pro bono consultancy that helps city leaders tackle big
challenges, is working with businesses in London to clean the air and cut
climate emissions through the Mayor's Business Climate Challenge
<[link removed]>
. By providing innovative support like energy audits, data dashboards, and
more, they're helping companies reduce energy consumption and slash emissions
that pollute the local air and drive global climate change.

Closing Learning Loss Gaps for More Than 35,000 Students
<[link removed]>
One of the most persistent lingering effects of the COVID-19 pandemic is
learning loss. Today, years after the end of most remote schooling, millions of
students are still underperforming academically and risk falling permanently
behind. The good news is that there are effective methods to address learning
loss, and we have the data to prove it.A new study tracking results for more
than 35,000 students in our Summer Boost program showed major gains in reading
and math performance across demographics and education levels
<[link removed]>
. Participating students were able to erase multiple weeks of learning loss
through summer courses and enrichment activities. Watch our latest Summer Boost
video to hear from teachers, students, parents, and others about how the
program is helping kids get back on track.
