Tonight’s presidential debate in Atlanta, GA, has me feeling so many different emotions. On the one hand, this battle for the White House underscores the importance of putting our faith in action to preserve our democracy; and on the other hand this battle frustrates me knowing exactly what’s at stake and how much chaos we’re up against.

It’s clear Georgia is ground zero in the fight to protect all the progress we’ve made. I’m praying and believing that with all eyes on my home state tonight, the support will flow in – that people everywhere who believe in preserving our democracy as we know it will join us on the frontlines of this fight right here in Georgia.

In 2020, Georgia powered Joe Biden to defeat Donald Trump, and now, we’ll watch history repeat itself as my friend Joe emerges from this good fight victoriously.
