John,

This month marked the twelfth anniversary of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. The DACA program is personally important to me because it was established to provide protection to some immigrants brought to the country as children – as I was brought here from Costa Rica when I was four years old. DACA protects Dreamers from deportation but the path to permanent residency has remained uncertain. In September 2023, U.S. District Judge Andrew S. Hanen of Texas issued a ruling that found the Biden Administration’s new rule on DACA unlawful. This has left recipients with the possibility of losing their protection.

This month, the Forum brought a group of business and student leaders to D.C. to advocate for legislative solutions for Dreamers on Capitol Hill – but the work is far from over.

Will you consider making a gift today to help us raise $10,000 for our end-of-quarter fundraising efforts and to continue fighting for a legislative solution for Dreamers and ongoing immigration reform efforts? Support us here >>>

Dreamers are an essential part of our communities, becoming longtime residents and starting families. A permanent legislative solution would give DACA recipients and Dreamer's the certainty to remain in the country many of them have always called home. Now is the time to call on Congress to introduce a bipartisan legislative solution.

A permanent legislative solution is needed to provide the 3.6 million Dreamers currently residing in this country with a pathway to certainty. Dreamers are contributing members of our economy and without a legislative solution could lose their protection to work in the U.S.

Your contribution will help us continue our work engaging with constituents and fighting for a permanent legislative solution for Dreamers and ongoing immigration reform efforts. Contribute today to help reach our goal and support Dreamers across the nation.

Thank you for your support,
