As we approach the mid-year mark of a busy 2024, I would like to thank you for supporting our mission to advance racial, economic, and disability justice for low-income people. The National Center for Law and Economic Justice is a lean organization, and we couldn’t do our work without the support of people like you!
In the past few months, we’ve continued to make a positive impact on the lives of hundreds of thousands of people across the country. Here are a few highlights of some major developments:
We filed our brief for class certification in our lawsuit challenging the City of Buffalo over racially discriminatory traffic enforcement practices.
We secured a major victory in our Missouri SNAP lawsuit when a federal court ruled that Missouri violated SNAP law and the ADA and ordered the State to come into compliance.
We relaunched the Federal Practice Manual for Legal Aid Attorneys to help public interest lawyers navigate their way through federal litigation.
These are just a few highlights of our expansive scope of work, and I urge you to visit our website to learn more about the many victories we’ve secured for low-income people across the country over the past year. I speak for the entire team when I say that we are proud of the work we do, and that despite our small size, we continue to make an outsized impact through our legal advocacy.
As we enter the second half of 2024, I’d like to once again emphasize that we could not continue our work without the generosity of individuals like you. If you are able, I am urging you to support our work by contributing today.
The National Center for Law and Economic Justice advances racial and economic justice through ground-breaking impact litigation, policy advocacy, and support for grassroots organizing. We have provided legal representation and support since 1965.
