Dear Friend,
In the four weeks since the general election was called, Full Fact’s biggest ever team of fact checkers has been scrutinising every aspect of the parties’ campaigns. Since 22 May we’ve fact checked 7 manifestos on their day of launch, covered 17 live events, written 38 detailed fact checks and appeared in the media 3270 times!
Full Fact’s articles and fact checks have been seen by millions of people, providing voters with good information on the issues that matter to them. With the election next week, we have to maintain the momentum and ensure bad information does not corrupt the results.

Please donate £10 to our Election Crowdfunder ([link removed]) and help reach as many voters as possible before 4 July.
With the election called earlier than expected, we’re still a way off our ambitious target. Your donation will mean we can fact check the frenetic final days of the campaigns at a scale never seen before.

We may be the UK’s largest independent fact checking organisation, but as a registered charity, our work relies on your support.

As we approach polling day, it’s also important to begin to look beyond it to what comes next. A new parliament presents an opportunity to push for a more honest and transparent politics. We’ll be reaching out to new MPs to offer fact checking training for them and their staff. We’ll be seeking to strengthen legislation to counter harmful misinformation relating to health, or generated by AI. And we’ll be calling for changes to the way Parliament works to ensure accountability when politicians get things wrong.
Fact checkers are on the front line of the fight against bad information. Please support our vital work, for this election and beyond.

Thank you,
Chris Morris—CEO, Full Fact
