HEB Senior Games

Mark your calendars for the HEB Senior Games! Represent HSAC and compete in your favorite activity against seniors from Bedford and Euless Senior Centers.

Please note that the Hurst Senior Activities Center is closed on this day.

National Park and Recreation Month

The Mayor and City Council proclaimed July National Park and Recreation Month! Since 1985, people in the United States have celebrated Park and Recreation Month in July to promote building strong, vibrant and resilient communities through the power of parks and recreation and to recognize the more than 160,000 full-time park and recreation professionals — along with hundreds of thousands of part-time and seasonal workers and volunteers — that maintain our country’s local, state and community parks. 

This year's theme, "Where You Belong," honors the efforts of park and recreation professionals nationwide in nurturing a sense of belonging within their communities. They achieve this by offering welcoming and inclusive programs, essential services for all ages and abilities, and safe, accessible spaces for building meaningful connections.

Stars & Stripes 2024

July 3 | Gates open at 5:00 p.m.
Hurst Community Park

Join us for the City of Hurst Stars and Stripes Event! Gates open at 5:00 p.m. at Hurst Community Park, and the fireworks show starts at 9:30 p.m. Enjoy the convenience of FREE shuttles from North East Mall. Please note that there is no general parking at the event site. See you there!

**The Hurst Recreation Center is closing EARLY on July 3 at 2:00 p.m. due to Stars & Stripes.

Aquatics

Learn-to-Swim Classes

Register your little ones today for our exciting Learn-to-Swim classes at Hurst Aquatics! We offer a range of sessions, including Parent & Tot and group lessons for pre-school and older.

Class Details:

• Parent & Tot Lessons: One-week sessions, Monday-Thursday *Residents: $25 & Non-residents: $35*
• Preschool and Beginner Lessons: Two-week sessions, Monday-Thursday *Residents: $50 & Non-residents: $60*

With numerous sessions available all summer, it's the perfect time to ensure your kids have the summer of a lifetime. They'll learn essential swim safety skills while having a blast!

Play Safe: Drowning Prevention

July 10 | 3:00 - 5:00 p.m.

Swim with us and learn about water safety! We are having CPR practices, lifejacket fittings, a lifeguard photo booth, and FREE educational materials. This event takes place during our regular open swim hours.

Hurst resident: $6
Non-resident: $12

Dive-In Movie - The Little Mermaid

July 20 | 7:00 p.m.
Central Aquatics Center

Kick back and relax at Central Aquatics Center! Float in the pool while watching The Little Mermaid on the BIG screen. It is Saturday night fun for the whole family! Concession stand is open. The event is $7 per person*. 

*Season pass holders, ages 65 & older, and ages 12 months & under are FREE*
