When Tom Perez asked me to join this team as CEO of the
Democratic Party, I thought about it long and hard -- and decided it
was impossible to say no.

Tom and I share a commitment to rebuilding the Democratic Party
from the ground up, to make our party the most effective force to
fight at the national, state, and local level for an America where every
person has a chance to get ahead.

To do that, it's going to take a truly grassroots movement -- it's going
to take you, Samuel.

So I need to know that you're with us. Right now, say you're in to
elect Democrats this year, in 2018, and beyond:

In my first week on the job, I've jumped right into the deep end -- focusing
on the specific things we can do right now to win special elections this month
and gubernatorial and legislative elections in the fall, and how we'll do the
tough work of building our party back up for the long haul.

This is my dream job, Samuel. I get to keep doing what I've always loved doing:
electing Democrats. And I get to do it with supporters like you, who are so
passionate about what Democrats are fighting for and invested in our success.

I believe in our party, and I believe in what we can make of it together. So let's
