Golan, recently elected chair of Israel’s Labor Party, previously served as IDF Deputy Chief of Staff. He was a Meretz MK and Deputy Minister of Economy in the 36th Israeli government. Golan was hailed as a hero for rescuing victims at the Nova Festival on October 7.
