It has been another eventful month.  One that reminds us of what is at stake in this November’s election, and of why we do what we do.  Just this month we have seen:

• Senate Republicans block a bill that would codify the right to contraception, despite their claims to the contrary and their denials of threats to this critical reproductive health care.


• The Texas Supreme Court reject a challenge to Texas’ abortion ban brought by women who were denied medically necessary abortions and the doctors who were prevented from treating them.


• More partisan nonsense from House Republicans in the House funding bills, demonstrating that they have learned nothing from last year’s never-ending process.  They're again politicizing our military and servicemembers, engaging in culture wars, restricting access to health care, and encouraging discrimination against the LGBTQ+ community (and during Pride Month, no less).

This month’s events have made clear: We have to defend this seat, win back the House, keep the Senate, and re-elect President Biden.  With the FEC deadline a few days away, your support makes all the difference for our efforts to do just that this year.
