The concept for Granite Gear [[link removed]] was born on a camping trip, when two friends were paddling among the placid network of wild waterways etched through the boreal forest that make up the Boundary Waters between Minnesota and Ontario. Based in Two Harbors, the Boundary Waters remains a crucial part of Granite Gear's ethos and the company fights hard for Save the Boundary Waters . Supporting Wilderness-edge communities during COVID-19

On April 13th, a devastating fire burned down three small, family owned, local businesses in Grand Marais, Minnesota. Community volunteer firefighters came to the rescue and thankfully nobody was injured; however, Picnic and Pine gift shop, The Crooked Spoon Café, and White Pine North gift shop were all lost in the fire. The community is now coming together to raise money for those affected by this tragic event. If you have the means, please consider donating [[link removed]] to support this Northern Boundary Waters community.
