Friend, heat kills.

In a typical year, it's the #1 weather-related killer in the U.S. – and 2024 isn't a typical year. This summer is on track to be one of the hottest ever recorded.

But even as soaring temperatures scorch communities nationwide, Republicans in Congress are trying to force through legislation that would erase the critical progress we've made to fight climate change – from gutting protections for the rapidly-warming Arctic, to rolling back a new pro-conservation public lands rule, and beyond.

Corporate polluters and their cronies in Congress are driving us towards climate disaster – and we urgently need YOUR help to stop them. Become a Sierra Club member now to join the fight for our environmental future, and we'll send you a FREE Adventure Blanket to say thanks!

Powered by supporters like you, the Sierra Club's tireless efforts to build a healthier, safer, clean-energy future are paying off:

-
Earlier this year, we pushed the Biden administration to announce a range of crucial environmental protections to reduce air and water pollution – including new requirements to cut climate pollution from coal and gas power plants.

Sierra Club members helped make it happen: become a member today.

-
Our Beyond Coal campaign achieved a major milestone this spring when we secured an agreement to close the last remaining coal-fired power plants in New England – meaning the entire region will be coal-free by 2028.

We're working to shut down more pollution-spewing coal plants and transition to clean energy in communities across the country, and we need your support.

-
With 64 local chapters nationwide, our members are building change from the ground up – from new transportation standards that will drastically cut car and truck emissions in California, to blocking a gas-fired power plant in New Jersey that would have spewed toxic pollution into the air of 70 nearby public schools.

Join the Sierra Club now and help drive more life-saving victories in communities just like yours.

Friend, our progress is remarkable – but it's also fragile. Our success is not guaranteed. Congressional Republicans and anti-environment lawmakers at the state and local level are doing all they can to rescind and undermine these victories for the planet. We have to keep fighting.

And we need you with us to do it. Join the Summer Membership Drive by becoming a member today – we'll even welcome you to the Club with a free Adventure Blanket.

Thank you for standing with us, and for all you do to protect our planet and our shared environmental future.
