On Wednesday, Controller Corey O’Connor released a report showing Allegheny County spent more than it brought in last year for the first time since 2011 ([link removed]) . The report confirmed that the county is not immune from the financial turmoil shaking the Pittsburgh and its public schools system as the end of COVID-era relief funds approaches.
Also, PublicSource spoke with 12 alumni of Pittsburgh’s colleges and universities to learn how they’re navigating their entrance into the workforce or their first years within it ([link removed]) .
