We are never ever going back, John! 🙅♂️
It has been nine years since the court established the right for LGBTQ+ couples to get married in the landmark decision Obergefell v. Hodges.
Conservative extremists on the Supreme Court want to overturn Obergefell. Thomas and Alito spelled out their plan to strip equal protection under the law for LGBTQIA+ folks in the Dobbs decision and again in a recent court opinion.
I am committed to never ever going back in time, John. There’s too much on the line.
If we are going to protect our hard-fought victories and basic rights, we are going to have to do a few things:
- 📜 Vote to *finally* pass the Equality Act – which would ensure that civil rights laws, like protections against discrimination in employment and housing, apply to sexual orientation and gender identity.
- 🗳️ Elect Joe Biden – The Supreme Court has turned conservative because of the three Trump-appointed justices that have created upheaval in our lives. We need a Democrat in the White House so that future Justices can help to re-balance the court.
- 🔵 Keep the Senate Blue – When Joe Biden appoints the next Supreme Court Justice, we are going to need a majority in the Senate to approve his appointment. This is critical!
In honor of the 9th anniversary of Obergefell, I am going to ask you today to make a split contribution between my campaign and the campaign to re-elect Joe Biden.
In this crucial moment, will you sit back and let the conservative SCOTUS take away even more of our rights OR will you make a split contribution of $5 to help keep the Senate blue and elect Joe Biden this November?

Let’s make sure we see the 10th anniversary of Obergefell. 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️
