Since the beginning of my career in public service, I’ve championed gun violence prevention measures.
I supported the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act to strengthen background checks and close loopholes, authored the STANDUP Act to help identify and provide support for students who show concerning behavior, and have stood up to the gun lobby time and time again.
And, as we have seen mass shootings skyrocket in recent years, it’s clear that this work is more urgent than ever.
