Join us for Historic LA Peace Rally and Friday Prayer for a Ceasefire Now
Dear John,

In response to the ongoing genocide and humanitarian crisis in Gaza, we call on the Los Angeles Muslim community to join us in prayer at Grand Park outside of City Hall in a historic first as diverse faith-based communities come together to pray for a ceasefire and an end to the suffering of the Palestinian people.

The genocide in Gaza, which has persisted for over eight months, has resulted in the massacre of over 38,000 Palestinians, including many women, children, and elderly. This relentless assault has devastated entire communities, obliterated infrastructure, and deprived the people of Gaza of basic necessities such as food, water, and medical supplies, exacerbating an already dire reality.

This event will provide an opportunity for all of us to stand united in our call for peace, to mourn the lives lost, and to pray for a future where all can live in safety and dignity. I will also deliver a khutbah underscoring the collective power we hold as communities of conscience in the fight against global injustice.
