Boebert won her primary last night. She will now proceed to the General Election in November as the GOP nominee for Colorado's Fourth District. 

But there is a silver lining to this unwelcome news: Boebert's 43% plurality masks the tepid support she has among Republicans and Unaffiliated voters who cast ballots in the primary. Boebert prevailed in a wide field that split the anti-Boebert/anti-carpetbag vote—totaling over 54% of all primary voters. And it seems clear now that undecided voters did NOT split in her favor.

The takeaway here is that in head to head matchups with clear contrasts between the candidates, Boebert has so far underperformed—for example, winning by a mere 546 votes against Adam Frisch in 2022. 

That's why we remain optimistic about stopping Boebert in November. She is weak with key voters who will come out in greater numbers, her unfavorable ratings are high, and there is no telling what other scandals will drop between now and then...

(Boebert is also still mired in a defamation lawsuit against her filed by the PAC American Muckrakers—only two weeks ago, the judge in this case denied Boebert's motion to dismiss and ruled that some of the claims can proceed, and that Boebert's "threats to sue Plaintiffs' sponsors and donors are unprotected by state law" because "they were neither made in good faith nor in serious contemplation of litigation." Not good.)

Thank you for staying in the fight. Boebert is still the weakest possible candidate to face Colorado voters, and we intend to go full throttle to defeat her in November.
