Nine years ago today, the Supreme Court affirmed the right of same-sex
couples to marry in one of the most important, inspiring cases in modern
history.
Obergefell v. Hodges was a resounding victory for equality, tolerance, and
love.
But if we’ve learned one thing from the current SCOTUS bench, it’s that
the Court cannot be trusted to respect precedent or protect our rights.
In fact, in the Court’s decision to overturn Roe just two years ago,
Clarence Thomas name-checked Obergefell and suggested it should be
revisited.
There are a lot of reasons we need to keep the Senate blue, and Democrats
having a say in future SCOTUS nominations is a critical check on the
far-right’s ability to further strip us of our rights.

donate $9 (or whatever you can) to help me defeat Republican Larry Hogan
and keep the Senate in Democrats’ hands?
