Adventures with a Cause: Join Sierra Club on a Service Trip

Embark on a journey where adventure meets purpose! At Sierra Club Outings, we love to recreate in nature and are dedicated to being responsible stewards of the environment. Give back to the planet and join us for a fun and affordable volunteer vacation! Take your pick of projects such as building and maintaining trails, or removing invasive plants. Our service trips often have leisure time scheduled for hiking, swimming, and more. After a day of fulfilling work or play, you will be treated to delicious camp dinners served by our renowned and experienced volunteer cook staff. Join the Fight for Outdoor Equity and Environmental Justice

Juneteenth is a day of remembrance and acknowledgement of how far our nation has yet to go in terms of racial justice and equity. Each and every one of us - at the individual, community, and organizational levels - is tasked with doing our part to enact widespread and systematic change. There are several ways one can join the movement, including but not limited to:

Advocate for designating important historical sites as national monuments, such as Tulsa’s Black Wall Street, site of the Tulsa Race Massacre.
Promote equity in the outdoors by getting involved with Sierra Club’s Outdoors For All campaign.
Challenge stereotypes about where people belong and encourage all to experience the healing power of nature, as exemplified by Rodney Smith.

Explore Black historic sites that preserve the legacy and struggles of Black communities, highlighting their contributions to our nation's history and the ongoing pursuit of equality and justice.
