Louisiana's new law concerning the Ten Commandments in schools has prompted the expected swooning of those on the left who still don't understand the real meaning of the First Amendment's establishment clause and the greatly misunderstood idea of church and state separation. Highlighting the Ten Commandments is a positive thing for society because they remind us of the moral and legal principles that undergird our nation. Even in the House Chamber of the U.S. Capitol, a marble relief portrait of Moses looks directly at the Speaker's rostrum. As Donna Cude and Kristen Ullman ([link removed]) outline, Louisiana's and other states' efforts should be fully supported by the U.S. Supreme Court. Reprinted with permission. Pat Daugherty, Ed.D.

Graham in 1980. “To teach respect for the rule of law, he’s defying the Supreme Court?” French asked incredulously.
