Nine years later, the far-right supermajority on the Supreme Court has made it clear that
is on the chopping block.
Obergefell was a turning of the tides after decades of activism, drawn-out legal battles, and constant struggle against bigotry, hatred, and discrimination.
But that doesn’t mean that our fight is over. Every day, the extremist GOP is ratcheting up their disgusting attacks on our LGBTQ+ communities, proving time and again that we can’t rest on past success.
And while today, we can still celebrate the incredible milestone of
Obergefell, it’s going to take all of us working together to protect and build upon that victory.
