Dear Friend --
We are more than tripling our drive-thru testing capacity starting
tomorrow and can now do more than 500 tests daily at the following
locations:
- Long Beach City College, Pacific Coast Campus
- Jordan High School
- Cabrillo High School
- St. Mary Medical Center
Expanding testing has been a huge priority and these three new
sites along with our Long Beach City College location will enable us
to perform more than 500 tests per day. We are not waiting around for
more tests to arrive but are actively purchasing our own to take care
of Long Beach.
The two new City testing sites at Jordan and Cabrillo High Schools
will operate seven days a week from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. until
further notice and will be available at Jordan High School, 6500
Atlantic Ave. (entrance on Atlantic Avenue), and Cabrillo High School,
2001 Santa Fe Ave. (entrance on Santa Fe Avenue at W. Willard
Street)
Testing will be available at both sites by appointment only. Same
or next day testing appointments will be open to all who are
symptomatic. While testing is prioritized for individuals who are
older than 65 years of age or have underlying chronic health
conditions, it is available to anyone who has COVID-19 symptoms.
Additionally, the St. Mary Medical Center testing site, located at
1050 Linden Avenue, expects to test approximately 200 people per day
at the facility, which will be open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to
noon and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Thank you,
Mayor Robert Garcia
