Humanitarian operations in Gaza are near collapse.
If food and supplies do not begin to enter in massive quantities, famine-like conditions will spread — multiplying an already devastating humanitarian crisis:
- The health system has reportedly lost 70% of bed capacity. With no field hospitals in the north, addressing soaring needs is a struggle.
- Some 625K students have been out of school since last year amid large-scale damage to education infrastructure.
With help from your emergency gifts, UNFPA has trained 53 new midwives, distributed menstrual pads to 5,550 women and girls and over 134,000 Dignity and Reproductive Health Kits, deployed a mobile maternal health clinic, and supplied critical medicines and anesthesia.
But the volume of incoming medical supplies right now is insufficient to meet the increasing public health needs. That’s why we’re appealing to you today:
Deliver the gift of livesaving care to women and girls in Gaza and beyond by making a donation today. Our Emergency Response in Gaza is less than 50% funded, so many are counting on you today:
We condemn the violence in Gaza, the West Bank, and Israel, and echo the UN Secretary-General’s call for a sustained humanitarian ceasefire and the immediate and unconditional release of all hostages by Hamas. The suffering must end and peace must prevail.
Thank you for being there for women and girls.
