I’ve been saying this for years: Michigan is a purple state and we need to take this election seriously. 

The results of the November election will come down to the work we do today to reach voters and motivate them to turn out when voting begins in Michigan. I’m telling you now that many of Michigan’s elections will come down to the wire, so we need to prepare now.

In a moment, I’m going to ask you to make a small contribution toward my campaign ahead of my FEC fundraising deadline. You know my least favorite part of my job is asking you for money, so let me explain two reasons why I’m asking you now. 

1. My district has more competitive state legislative seats than any other congressional district in Michigan. If we want to keep Democrats in control of our state legislature so they can continue to pass legislation that makes Michigan a better place to live for all Michiganders, we need to win these races and re-elect these candidates. Team Dingell is making sure we reach voters in these districts so we can help these Democrats win. 
2. The road to the White House runs straight through Michigan. In 2022, my district had more votes for Democrats than any district in the state. If we want to reelect President Joe Biden, we need to make sure he wins in Michigan. That means it’s our duty to motivate these voters to cast their ballots.

I know a lot of campaigns are asking you for a donation before this FEC deadline, but I hope you understand just how much responsibility and work we have to do in Michigan’s 6th District. The future of our state and our nation could come down to voter turnout in this district, which is why I’m working every day to connect with voters and make sure MI-06 turns out to vote to elect Democrats.
