Small Business Update

You might have heard that one of the most successful small business relief programs, the Paycheck Protection Program, ran out of money this week due to inaction by Democrats. I was extremely disappointed that they chose to put political games ahead of small business workers and I hope they will come to their senses soon.

Encouraging Stories

Our community continues to amaze me with their kindness and generosity during this troubling time. TYR Tactical in Peoria is stepping up to meet our nation’s need for face masks and N95 filters.

I also loved this story about Helping Others Together (HOT) Community Foundation, a West Valley nonprofit that raises funds for local charities. They have formed a small army of volunteers who make and donate at least 10,000 washable, reusable masks to local hospitals, medical personnel, first responders, school districts, essential businesses, and others who need them.
