BY ASHLEY LYNN PRIORE | As conservative lawmakers take advantage of the current global health crisis to shut down abortion clinics in Alabama, Arkansas, Ohio, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Louisiana and Iowa by declaring that abortion is a “nonessential” medical service, crisis pregnancy centers—which provide false information to women in an attempt to dissuade them from obtaining abortions—have been allowed to remain open.
