Tonight, we won our primary, and I will officially be the Democratic nominee to represent Colorado’s 3rd congressional district this November.

Thank you. I couldn’t have made it this far without your support.

A little over 2 years ago, we started this journey because I believed – as I still believe – that the people of western and southern Colorado deserve a representative in Congress who will wake up every morning thinking about them and their family. Not which corporate PACs gave them the most money, or how to stir up another angertainment storm on Fox News.

When I ran against Lauren Boebert in 2022, our race was incredibly close. After getting outspent by millions of dollars, we lost by just 546 votes – the narrowest margin in the entire country.

Not enough results have come in yet for us to know who will be our Republican opponent this fall, but we do know this much: The Super PACs are going to spend millions of dollars against me on TV. They’ve already started.

With everything from women’s reproductive rights to the future of our democracy on the line, winning this seat is critical.

I am in Pueblo tonight with our staff and our incredible volunteers and supporters to celebrate. Tomorrow, the general election starts in full-swing.

I am so honored to have your support. Together, we can and we must win in November.
