I can't think of anyone who has had a more profound impact on our party
or this country than Joe Biden. There's no one quite like him.

So today, I want you to join me in thanking Vice President Biden for everything
he's done:

Whether it was drafting and making possible the passage of the Violence Against
Women Act or helping to confirm a national treasure like Justice Ruth Bader
Ginsburg, Joe Biden was at the forefront of virtually every issue our country has
faced during the 36 years he served the people of Delaware in the U.S. Senate.

And as Vice President, he's been a driving force behind everything that we've
accomplished in the past seven years -- from the economic recovery that started
from the moment he and the President took office, to his shepherding of the
Affordable Care Act through Congress.

Vice President Biden will tell you himself that he always says what he means
and means what he says. Trust me, Samuel, you only have to listen for a few
moments before you realize that nobody believes in the work that we're
doing -- in our fight to lift up the middle class and make life better for every
American -- more than Joe Biden.

So I hope you'll let him know just how much he means to all of us:
