John,

Just one month ago, we defeated Dan Lipinski in the Illinois' Democratic Primary by a 2.5% margin. 

I wanted to take a moment to thank you again for everything you did to help us achieve such a historic win. 

When the Chicago Machine swooped in, you helped us organize the old fashioned way. We knocked on over 110,000 doors and you helped us make over 400,000 phone calls.

When we were forced to cancel over 1,000 door-to-door canvassing shifts due to concerns of exposing volunteers and voters to COVID-19, you helped us bring our operation indoors, and together we made over 200,000 phone calls and sent over 150,000 texts the weekend before the election.

One month later - I am still filled with gratitude. We did it.

We may have won the primary, but our work is far from over. While we figure out how to campaign in these challenging times, we are doing everything we can do to keep IL-03 residents informed about COVID-19 relief efforts. Just yesterday, we hosted a tele-town hall with experts from labor and civil rights organizations to highlight available resources to those out of work and to answer questions from IL-03 residents. 

You helped us get here, and I want to make sure you know that we are working hard to keep folks informed and to keep this movement going. Now, more than ever, we need leaders in Washington who will fight for workers, better healthcare, and an economy that puts workers and working families first.
