John: We’ve been racking our brains trying to figure out how to convince you to make a donation to VoteVets before our official FEC reporting deadline on June 30th.
We figured the best way was to be honest with you. So, here goes:
We made some big spending decisions based on the pace of our fundraising over the last few months. We’re talking millions of dollars. Over the last several months we’ve spent hundreds of thousands on our candidates in New Jersey and Virginia.
Right now, we’re moving more than $700,000 in Arizona to support Ruben Gallego in his neck-and-neck race against Kari Lake.
Through Election Day we’ll be spending far, far more than that to take back the House, hold the Senate, and kick Trump to the curb.
One problem, though: Our fundraising has fallen off a cliff. If we stay off pace much longer we’re going to have to reel in our plans — with major impacts on the candidates we plan to support up and down the ballot.
