TELL CONGRESS: After a disastrous USPS privatization plan has hiked prices, slowed down mail delivery, and hurt workers, it’s time to remove the Trump-appointed head of the post office. Sign the petition: Fire Louis DeJoy now!

Hi,

We need Congress to say, loud and clear: It’s time to fire Louis DeJoy.

As the Trump-appointed head of the USPS, DeJoy launched a disastrous plan to privatize the post office.1 Significant regional mail delays have become commonplace, like earlier this year in metro Atlanta.2 Prices have gone up for consumers a handful of times during DeJoy’s reign. It’s unacceptable!

Finally, a bipartisan coalition of 26 U.S. Senators is raising the alarm about the complete dysfunction of DeJoy’s plan3 – and more lawmakers are calling for his removal. Now, we need all of our members of Congress to advocate for the USPS Board of Governors to remove Trump appointee Louis DeJoy.

Sign the petition: Urge your members of Congress to publicly demand the USPS Board of Governors fire Louis DeJoy now!

The USPS Board of Governors has the power to fire DeJoy, and our members of Congress have the power to make it overwhelmingly clear to the Board that the American people are fed up with DeJoy’s privatization efforts.

This is not a partisan issue. Constituents of Democrats and Republicans are complaining about mail delays AND lost mail. In an election year, when tens of millions of people will rely on the mail for voting, widespread delays and lost mail are unacceptable.

Every step of the way, DeJoy has defended his plan. He has defended price increases making it harder for consumers to mail packages to their loved ones. He has defended cutting workers’ hours and decreasing service especially to rural areas. Our lawmakers must step up and pressure the USPS to halt DeJoy’s privatization plans and remove the man in charge.

Add your name: Tell lawmakers to urge the USPS Board to hold Trump-appointee DeJoy accountable!

Thanks for taking action,

Joey and the team at Demand Progress
