Message from Rep. Tracey Mann. Having Trouble Viewing? Click Here. Fellow Kansan, Thank you for subscribing to my newsletter! This week, the U.S. House of Representatives will consider several funding bills for Fiscal Year 2025. I am reviewing the legislation and will continue to uphold my commitment to the Big First and fight for an economy that's strong. Follow me on social media to see updates on what is happening in Congress and how I'm fighting to protect our conservative Kansas values. I do not serve in Congress to be a caretaker in the slow demise of America – I serve to fight and work to make it stronger. That's what I am doing while believing our brightest days are yet to come. Yours in service, Click below to follow me on social media. Mann.House.Gov     The Week Ahead This week, the House will consider annual funding legislation to appropriate funds to the Department of Homeland Security, Department of State, and the Department of Defense. Congress must pass fiscally conservative legislation that puts taxpayer dollars in places where we see a return on those dollars while investing in our nation's border security, supporting our service members, and eliminating wasteful spending on partisan agendas. Also happening this week, the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee will hold a hearing with Secretary Pete Buttigieg about the Department of Transportation's Fiscal Year 2025 budget request. I look forward to holding the Department accountable and eliminating wasteful spending in its Green New Deal policies while getting the Department's spending back on track. Meetings in the Office Global Cold Chain Alliance and Lineage Logistics Clean Fuels Alliance of America Associated Builders and Contractors American Nurses Association Evangeline of Grainfield, KS     In the Office Happy National Dairy Month! Each June, we celebrate National Dairy Month. Dairy producers in the Big First work tirelessly to support the health of Americans, build local economies, and nourish the world. I am proud to serve as Chairman of the House Agriculture Committee's Subcommittee on Livestock, Dairy, and Poultry and advocate for strong dairy programs. Thank you, dairy producers, for all you do, and happy National Dairy Month! Two Year Anniversary of Dobbs Two years ago, the U.S. Supreme Court overturned 50 years of unconstitutional overreach that resulted in the death of 62 million American children. This week, we celebrate the anniversary of the Dobbs decision and reaffirm our commitment to protecting life. I am proud to be pro-life and will continue to fight to ensure that every child, born or unborn, is afforded their natural, God-given rights. America's Out of Control Inflation Inflation continues to be a tax on all Americans. Since President Biden took office, inflation has skyrocketed by more than 20% with unleaded, regular gasoline up 55.3%, eggs up 40.1%, electricity up 29%, and groceries up 21.2%. Kansans across the Big First continue to feel the impact of President Biden's failed policies and reckless spending. This is unsustainable and puts a heavy burden on hardworking American families. As laid out in my Commitment to the Big First, I am fighting to end Washington's spending addiction, balance the budget, grow the economy, curb inflation, and lower taxes for individuals and small businesses. Read my Commitment to the Big First here.
