This is hard to talk about, John.

I grew up in poverty – and I felt a lot of shame and anxiety about it as a kid.

But when I share my story on the campaign trail, I’m reminded that I’m not alone.

Folks always tell me their stories of struggle and hardships.

Stories of growing up on a farm that struggled with 11 siblings.

Stories of their families having to sell the farm.

Stories of not being able to afford necessary medical care.

And so while it is still hard to talk about my story, I know it’s more important that other families don’t have to go through what mine did.

I’m running to make sure that the burden of debt is never heavy enough to crush a family just trying to get by. But this is only possible when we have a government that is focused on serving people, and not corporate interests. That’s why I’m running to defeat special interest-funded Republican Senator Kevin Cramer but I need to compete with his deep pockets. I’m counting on 617 supporters to stand with me before midnight to keep this campaign firing on all cylinders. I don’t have special interests funding me — just grassroots supporters like you — so your help is something I never take for granted. Will you chip in $15 right now so I can fight for families like yours and mine in the Senate? >>

I'll be honest with you, John.

Kevin Cramer doesn’t know the hardships our families face.

That’s why he’s voted against us at every turn:

- He voted to repeal the Affordable Care Act that so many North Dakotans rely on.

- He voted to slash funding from federal programs struggling families rely on.

- He even voted against lowering prescription drug prices for our seniors.

I rely on hard-working folks like you to power everything I do. That’s why I’m personally asking you to chip in $15 before midnight to make sure we put everyday folks first in the Senate. Truly, with the stakes this high, anything you can give makes a difference. Can I count on you? >>

Thank you for everything you do,

Katrina Christiansen is tired of career politicians who put special interest cash above the needs of hardworking families. That’s why she’s running for U.S. Senate to ensure no family has to choose between paying for essential medication and putting food on the table.

Katrina doesn’t take a penny of Corporate PAC money, so she’s relying on support from grassroots donors to fund her campaign and compete with Republicans’ deep pockets. Will you chip in any amount before midnight to help Katrina defeat Republican special interests and flip this seat for everyday North Dakotans?
