BREAKING NEWS

John,

The LA Times just published an exposé of how the tobacco and vaping industry is exploiting the COVID-19 crisis to push its dangerous products. It's absolutely appalling – but it's not shocking.

Our team has been tracking this since the start of the crisis. And together, we have the power to do something about it.

Let's put a finer point on it: Even as health experts warn that smoking and vaping can worsen the effects of the coronavirus, Big Tobacco and vape shops have the audacity to use the pandemic to market lung-harming, kid-addicting products.

Just look at some of their COVID-related social posts that our team has been collecting and let them sink in:

That's the tip of the iceberg. At the same time as they're exploiting coronavirus and marketing to our kids, vape shops are lobbying to be deemed "essential businesses." You just can't make this stuff up.

This is what our staff across the country is fighting around the clock. We're working to educate lawmakers, advocates, and parents about what's happening and how to stop it.

How much we can do depends on you.

Please donate today to help us stop the tobacco and vaping industry from exploiting the COVID-19 crisis to lure kids with its dangerous products.

Sincerely,

Laurie Rubiner
Executive Vice President, U.S. Programs
