Washington Conservation Action has a long history of protecting the environment from destruction and pollution.  

But right now, we need to do more than defend our environment – we need to proactively invest in projects that heal nature, accelerate the transition to clean energy, and support communities that are on the frontlines of rising seas, increasing wildfires, droughts and heat waves.  

Our best tool to do this – the Climate Commitment Act – is under threat in November. We must protect it against an initiative that would repeal it. 

We know we can win, but we need everyone that believes in the transformative power of our climate movement to chip in. People like YOU!

Here’s a snapshot of what we’re working on right now:  

• Educating voters about the Climate Commitment Act and the funds it has generated for projects across the state – including free public transit for young people; thousands of new electric charging stations; programs to monitor air pollution and funds to support salmon recovery. 

• Organizing across the state to get 50,000 new or infrequent voters to commit to voting in November through our Call 4 Climate Action program.

• Working to elect environmental champions in crucial roles including Governor and Commissioner of Public Lands.
