Dear Mr. xxxxxx,
I wanted to pass along my latest update on what I have been doing to fight for you, Texas’ 21st Congressional District, and our country as a whole:
Don’t draft our daughters
The Senate Armed Services Committee just passed legislation to draft our daughters in the military. This is insane.
While thousands of women serve admirably in the United States Armed Forces, and I am grateful for their service and sacrifice to our country, this is not a question of the dedication and willingness of American women to step up and serve their country. Rather, will we as a country force the horrors of war upon our wives, our sisters, and our daughters?
If Republicans even think about drafting my daughter, every ounce of my being will be directed at destroying what’s left of the party.
Biden's overbearing regulations are hurting restaurants
Small businesses are the backbone of the American economy and are essential to the unique identities of communities throughout Texas and the nation. But many are in trouble because of bad policies and runaway bureaucracy in Washington, D.C.
Unlike massive corporations, restaurants and other small businesses cannot afford high-powered lobbyists and lawyers to track every new rule or regulation that comes out of the federal bureaucracy. Sometimes restaurants first learn of a Biden rule when they are slapped with a lawsuit for noncompliance.
Congress must do more to defend small businesses in the face of federal bureaucrats and an impending corporate takeover. If we continue to let government overreach force restaurants and other small businesses to close their doors, we will also lose the hearts and souls of the communities we hold dear.
