Governor Holcomb announced a second round of firefighting training locations that will receive part of the Hub-and-Spoke initiative’s $17.7 million in funding to eliminate training deserts.
These funds will go directly to supporting the volunteer firefighters who sacrifice so much for Hoosiers:
$10 million for new personal protection equipment for volunteer firefighters.
$7.7 million for training site construction
A program like this sends a message that Indiana appreciates the firefighters who put their lives on the line for us.
