“Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you.”
— John 14:27a (ESV)
In the face of uncertainty, knowing He would soon face death, Jesus offered His disciples a remarkable gift. Peace.
He knew their world was about to be upended. And so He gave them an unshakable confidence, a settled-ness, rooted in the character and control of God.
Jesus offers us the same. In the face of war, depression, loss, poverty, grief, or shame, we can experience peace. The situation that threatens to overwhelm us, is still under His control. His proven character demonstrates to us that He will somehow work it out for good.
No matter what you face today, Jesus offers you peace. Will you embrace it?
Praises and Prayers
-Praise God for how He is opening doors for Unto to serve in new places. Many of these countries are closed to the gospel. Humanitarian aid allows our teams to tangibly meet needs, build relationships, and share hope when the time is right.
-Pray for the staff, students, and volunteers who will soon be traveling to serve people in the toughest places through women’s health clinics, agriculture workshops, and other humanitarian projects.
-As the fiscal year approaches, pray the Lord will continue to provide funding for the ministry so important projects that meet physical needs and open doors for our teams to share hope can stay on schedule over the summer months.
