We’ll cut to the chase, team: The GOP is attacking our reproductive freedom, and they'll stop at nothing short of a national ban on abortions.

Two years ago, the conservative Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade. That gave room for far-right extremists like Ron DeSantis and Rick Scott to push forward their dangerous, anti-choice agenda. 

Look, Florida has already passed one of the strictest abortion bans in the country and today, we’re waiting on the Supreme Court’s decision to ban emergency abortion care in Idaho, which will very likely affect the state of Florida. 

It's clear these extremists in office don't have our best interests in mind. And even though Rick Scott recently released an ad saying he would protect in vitro fertilization, the truth is that when it came down to it, he actually voted against both IVF and birth control protections. 

But here’s the good news: There’s still hope for us in November. Abortion will be on the ballot here in Florida this fall, and we’ll have the power to enshrine our reproductive rights in the state constitution. And with 67% of Floridians in favor of keeping abortion legal, I know we have what it takes to undo the damage that ultra-conservative politicians like Rick Scott have done. 

Until we can make our voices heard at the polls, we need at least 50,000 grassroots supporters to sign Debbie's petition by midnight tonight. So please, friend: Can we count on you to add your name now to support abortion rights?
